Do you have any advice on an Apple iPod Touch and an iPad?
I'm looking for a little information and opinions from those that are privy to these Apple products. I'm looking into buying one of the applications, though I'm not quite sure about a few things. U.S Cellular is my mobile provider, so I really can't pay monthly fees for either one if that so happens to be the case. I have a few questions so if you can answer any of them, I'd appreciate your help.
iPod Touch:
- Would I need to have a plan with AT&T in order to use this device?
- What are the differences between an iPod Touch and an iPad besides the size difference?
iPad:
- How is playing Tap Tap Revenge 3 on this device?
- Anyone favor the iPad as a Kindle substitute?
- Do you have to pay monthly service fees, or can I sync up on a wireless connection?
- Know where to get either one at a cheap price?

Neither device requires a plan with AT&T, however if you wish to purchase the 3G model of the iPad, you might want to consider getting one.
There are not many differences between the iPod Touch and the iPad other than size, except maybe for screen quality. The size difference is important however, because many of the apps that are used on the iPad are much better than that of those on the iPod Touch, because they have a better use of screen real estate.
Tap Tap Revenge 3 is originally an iPod Touch game, so playing it on the iPad, it would just be blown up, and not nearly as easy to play. However, there is a version of the Tap Tap games, Tap Tap Radiation, that is for the iPad. This game is different, because the circles that you tap on move around the screen. Perhaps a better choice, if you get the iPad.
I would definitely use the iPad instead of a Kindle, because not only are you getting the ability to read books, but also so much more. There is not much book selection in the iBooks app, however you can download a Kindle app for the iPad, which allows you to read all of the books available for the Kindle on your iPad, and if you already have a Kindle, you can access any books that you already have for it on your iPad using that app.
You do not have to pay any monthly service fees, unless you get the 3G version of the iPad, and decide to use the 3G service. The 3G is not necessary, though, unless you will need to access the internet in a place where you would not get Wi-Fi often. Yes, you can use Wi-Fi.
There are really not any places where you could buy either product at a cheaper price, except maybe eBay. This would be harder for the iPad, though, because it is still fairly new.
If you wanted advice on which one to buy, definitely go for the iPad; its essentially the iPod Touch, but much better. I hope this helped!
