Does a Heart Rate monitor need a chest strap to be accurate?
I can get a Mad Catz Pulse Pak (wow, sounds super-accurate already, no?) off the shelf for just $8, but is it simply garbage? Do thumb-monitors have any value, or is the chest strap the only way to go?
I'm interested in this because my heart rate goes through the roof when I Work Out. I don't need it any other time. Thank you!
Chest strap would be the best. But any monitor that can be attached to your body will do the trick. But it sounds like I would have the chest strap if I was you. tagger
