I am looking to get into professional cycling and looking to buy a new bike?
I am 18 and weigh about 185 and I have rode in a few junior races and won a few. I am looking for advice on buying a new bike. Should I get a Trek Specialized etc.
I wondered about this question too. Why are you asking such a rookie question if your thinking about being a pro rider? You should already know that fit is more important than any specific bike manufacturer. Any top of the line Trek, Felt, Cannondale, Specialized, Orbea, Litespeed, blah, blah, blah with Durace or Record will fit your needs fine if the frame and components are properly sized to your physical dimensions. My question is how much do you train and how tall are you? 185 lbs is way too heavy to be competitive in pro cycling unless your 6'5" or taller. Go look up Hincapie's weight at his height of 6'3".
