what step taken by a electronic student in 1st year?
you must be in B.tech. (i assume as you didn't give details)
In 1st year, core branch paper are very less. In my college only basic electronics was there. It is also not so tough.
So, you can't really do extra with it. Just study with knowledge point of view because it'll help in future.
KEEP THIS HUNGER ALIVE !
because it is needed after 1st year. you can take different steps after that. As once you have basics of
1)Digital electronics, you can do VLSI training.
2)Microprocessor, you can add good 8085 project in your resume.
You can also do training in various fields(preferably after 2nd year):
