Breast feeding hang ups?
I intend to breast feed my daughter when she is born, I was wondering if anyone had any hang ups about breastfeeding before they started to do it? Mine is feeding in public, I know that its accepted and that no one will probably notice, but for some reason Im quite warey of doing it, probably because Im a private person and not sure If I would be comfortable getting a boob out lol Does anyone else have issues like that? Or is it just me? 
I initially thought that I would only NIP (nurse in public) if there was absolutely no alternative. However, I quickly learned that the first priority is getting that baby fed. You can cover up with a blanket, but as long as your baby stays on the breast you don't really need one. A blanket just calls more attention to the fact that you are NIP. However, once baby starts popping off all the time you may want a cover. I could never get the hang of a blanket so am making my own "hooter hider."
Every time I used to NIP I would struggle with the blanket and DS would start to cry so I'd just give up and latch him on quickly. If you wear a cami, you can pull one side down to nurse. The cami covers your midriff, your shirt can drape to cover most of your top, and the baby's head covers most of your breast.
One time I was feeding DS like that and an older man from church walked over to look at what he thought was a sleeping baby and was shocked to learn that the baby was nursing! I warned him before he got too close.
You can NIP without anyone noticing.
