My soon to be 5 year old wants a Robot Birthday party?
Not from the movie "Robots" but and actual Robot party. He is facinated with those Robo Raptors and anything like them...

but how do I make this idea into a 5 year olds birthday? I've looked at Oriental Trading, Birthday express and all the party stores online, and most just have stuff from the movie, which he has adamently stated he does not want...why couldn't he just want a transformers party like everyone else? 
For what it's worth...here are a few ideas.
You could have pictures of the raptors printed in poster size at your local Kinko's (or similar photocopying business) to put up around the house. Your son can keep them in his room afterwards.
On a similar vein, if you have any photoshopping software, you could create line drawings from some of the photos. You could then have coloring contests. You could even have the line drawings blown up again to poster size and have kids working on them together. Obviously, this idea would be easier if there are any coloring books out there to blow up, but again photoshopping software does allow you to manipulate photos this way.
You could send a photo of the raptors to the parents and challenge them to create raptor costumes for the kids to wear to the party. Give a prize for the best costume.
You could have iron-on T-shirts made of the raptors from photos at a local T-shirt shop. Give them out as door-prizes...or ahead of time for the kids to wear to the party.
