good Tennis Strings for hard hitters who need more control?
i'm currently using the gamma asterisk and it is the string of my choice since i've been hitting hard. but i want a closely relevant string to this one, has a nicer and stiffer feel.
You should probably try out a hybrid with that string. Throw the asterisk in the cross and Babolat Revenge in the mains. Or just go all Babolat Revenge. Both my coach and I agree that this is the best string.
The only way to get more control is by using higher tension and working on your technique. I have a k prostaff that is recommended at 50-60 pounds, but I usually string from 62-65. I am also a very hard hitter. I don't know what racquet you use, but if it is a Mid Plus racquet like 98 sq in or above, I would go with 65 pounds. If it is oversize...then I don't know..I haven't touched one of those since I was 7 years old.
