Is this an "ok" exercise regime for a first-timer?
I just started going to they gym so I'm way out of shape not to mention a beginner..Sunday was my first time (30 minutes on treadmill, burned 140 calories)..Tuesday was second time (30 minutes on treadmill, running for 2 minutes every 12 minutes, burned 150 calories), Today was the third time (35 minutes on treadmill, running 2 minute intervals every 10 minutes, burned 201 calories)...am I off to a good start or should I be doing more?
you're off to a good start for a beginner but as a beginner you will face mental exhaustion. that is when the mind is saying that you're tired but the body can continue. you have to block it out or get past it if you want to see really good results. and don't get discouraged because it is hard work and it takes time and if you aren't consistent with workouts, you won't see results. and eat right! a place you might want to check out and get information is the forums at www.bodybuilding.com i learned a lot from others on the forums.
