Is it okay to work out every day?
I am 18 years old and i've been working out for 3 years now, I am no beginner. Right now I have a nice 3 day split that very minimally works the same muscle two consecutive days. This give my muscles 2 days to recover, but i've worked out the last 60 days in a row, and I have people telling me I need a break to recover. But I disagree I think I am fine, and I have not noticed ANY over-training consequences that hold me back from anything.
Before there were restaurants on every corner, we had to hunt and gather and grow our own food. The human body is designed to move every day. Now, running 26 mile marathons, that may be extreme and dangerous, but physical activity is what we are supposed to have, if we can take enough time from working at a desk.
